Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

Tooth Amigo helps people find independent dental practices based on location, selected priorities, and information presented through our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We collect a limited amount of information needed to operate Tooth Amigo.

  • Location Information: We collect the ZIP code you enter to identify dental practices near you and calculate approximate distances. We do not collect your precise device location.
  • Selected Priorities: We collect the priorities you select when using our matching tools to customize your results. These selections may relate generally to dental care, but Tooth Amigo does not ask you to provide diagnoses, medical records, dental records, X-rays, treatment histories, insurance records, or other clinical information.
  • Usage and Interaction Data: We may collect basic information about how people use Tooth Amigo, such as searches submitted, buttons selected, and actions taken on practice listings. This information helps us operate, evaluate, and improve the platform.

2. Analytics and Similar Technologies

Tooth Amigo may use analytics or similar technologies to understand how the platform is used, identify technical problems, and improve our services.

If we introduce third-party analytics, cookies, tracking technologies, or similar services that materially change how information is collected or used, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

We do not use your search information to create detailed advertising profiles about you.

3. How We Use Information

We use information collected through Tooth Amigo to:

  • provide nearby dental practice results;
  • customize matches based on the priorities you select;
  • calculate geographic relevance;
  • operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the platform;
  • understand how users interact with our features;
  • protect the platform against misuse, fraud, or security incidents; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal search information to data brokers.

4. Dental Practices and External Services

Dental practices displayed on Tooth Amigo are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, joint ventures, or healthcare providers operated by Tooth Amigo.

When you choose to call, text, book with, visit the website of, or otherwise contact a dental practice, you are communicating directly with that practice or its service provider.

Information you provide directly to a dental practice is governed by that practice's privacy practices and intake procedures, not this Privacy Policy.

5. Practice Listings and Placement

Tooth Amigo displays information about independent dental practices and may provide personalized matches based on factors such as your location and selected priorities.

Dental practices do not pay Tooth Amigo to receive a higher personalized match score or preferential placement in personalized match results.

If Tooth Amigo later introduces advertising, referral compensation, sponsored placement, or another commercial relationship that affects how a practice is presented, we will clearly disclose that relationship where appropriate.

6. Health Information and HIPAA

Tooth Amigo is an informational platform and is not a dental practice, healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse.

Tooth Amigo does not provide medical or dental diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice. Using Tooth Amigo does not create a dentist-patient relationship with Tooth Amigo.

We do not ask users to submit medical records, dental records, X-rays, treatment plans, insurance records, diagnoses, or other clinical records through our matching tools.

Some selections you make on Tooth Amigo may reflect preferences related to dental care. We use those selections only to provide and improve the matching experience.

Information you later provide directly to a dental practice may be protected by HIPAA or other healthcare privacy laws depending on the practice and circumstances.

7. How We Share Information

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Tooth Amigo, such as hosting, database, security, or technology providers.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide services to us and subject to their applicable contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the security of Tooth Amigo, investigate misuse or fraud, or protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal search information to data brokers.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and improve Tooth Amigo, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Because our technology and analytics systems may change as the platform develops, specific retention periods may vary by type of information. We will update this Privacy Policy if we adopt retention practices that materially affect users.

Where appropriate, information that is no longer needed may be deleted or aggregated so that it is no longer reasonably linked to an individual user.

9. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information we maintain about you, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion.

You may also have rights to opt out of certain uses of personal information when required by applicable law.

Tooth Amigo currently operates without user accounts. As a result, we may retain little or no information that allows us to identify a particular user's previous searches or selections.

To make a privacy request, contact privacy@toothamigo.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and process your request.

If applicable law provides a right to appeal a decision regarding a privacy request, you may submit an appeal to privacy@toothamigo.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No internet service, transmission method, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

Tooth Amigo is intended for adults seeking information about dental care for themselves or their families. It is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information in circumstances requiring parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Tooth Amigo's services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations change.

When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this policy. If we make material changes, we may also provide additional notice through the Tooth Amigo website or app.
